STRONG FOR TOO LONG

13.6.16
Been a little beside myself the past time. I got a lot going on, and I'll admit that life isn't full of fun at the moment. I normally doesn't like to talk about myself, and rarely does it on the blog, but juggling with something looking like a depression, a sick boyfriend, a granny with lung cancer and a braindamaged best friend, it takes it's toll on me, and therefor the blog too.

I don't wanna go into detail, as it always makes me cry, but dealing with all of this has gotten me real tired and makes me sleep about 15 hours a day - sadly which gives me very little time and energy left to blog. So if the blog is quiet for a small period, it's not because I've stopped blogging or lost interest in it, I just don't have the energy.
I deeply hope that you'll still follow along, though this period of sadness has hit me.

FREE DOWNLOAD | GIRLY BLOGGER PATTERN

5.6.16
Download - Swatch package - Jpeg-files
I've spend a lot of time practicing pattern making in Illustrator and I actually think I've managed to make one that is infinite. This pattern is the first one I'm actually proud of, therefor I'm gonna share it with you guys on this lovely sunday.

The swatch package, besides the premade swatches from Illustrator, contains The Girly Blogger print in both black and pink, both with transparent background, so you can pair it with any background color, even other prints.
The jpeg-files are just photos of the prints on white background, so that if you don't have Adobes programs where the swatch package can be used, but still want to use the print as a background for your blog or anything else, you still can.

As long as you remember to credit me, if you upload this anywhere, it's 100 % free to use.
All future free downloadable items can be found under Free download at the top of the page, to make it easier for you. Anyway; I really wanna know what you think about it!

IS USING ADOBE INDESIGN FOR YOUR BLOG A GOOD IDEA?

4.6.16
Photography by Mark Abrahams, Publiced in Harper's Bazaar US, March 2015
This past 6 months I've had the pleasure of getting to know and try a lot of Adobes programs first hand. And it has really opened my eye on how useful these programs can be to a blogger, as they can be used to create almost all different kinds of blog promotions and graphics for your blog, like business cards, logos and collages among others.

Some of Adobes most useful programs are Photoshop and Illustartor, both great for editing your photos though you can do so much more additional things in Photoshop than just photo editing, Illustrator, which are great for designing logos and lastly Indesign, great for everything flyer, business card and poster like. And I have to say that Indesign is by far my favorite program to use.

I highly recommend learning Indesign, and it should be fairly easy with all the guides out there to get a basic understanding of the tools within the program. At first it can seem quite scary as there is a lot of different options, but you'll quickly get the hang of it, if you put in the necessary time. I know that after I've learned the program, it will be used much more as a blogging tool for me, when I get it on my own computer.

Both photos in this article, is examples of what you can make with Indesign and it's many features. A lot of web magazines and ebooks are made in Indesign, as it's the perfect tool for that. I myself plan on making an ebook for you guys some time! Some business cards, an email head, a new logo and some graphics for my blog will also be on the program for future making.

So do I think Indesign is a useful tool for bloggers? Indeed. I can see so many things getting done prettier and easier in Indesign, to make your blog more appealing. Also you would save on ton of money, from not getting those things made by a graphic designer (though I would love to make it for you, for a small fee).
Would you use Indesign for your blog?

10 blogging things you can use Indesign to create

- Business Cards
- Letter/email heads and envelopes
- Resumes/Portfolios
- Banners
- Work sheets
- Blog post graphics
- Ebooks
- Photo collages
- Social media graphics
- Printables

If anyone have the desire to learn more about Indesign than those basic guides out there, I would love to put together some guides for designing some of the above or anything else for that matter.
Also I've considered making business cards, resumes and stuff like that as free templates for those already owning Indesign or creating costumized ones for those interested. Would anyone be interested in either of these suggestions?

ETSY THURSDAY | PRETTY PLANTERS

2.6.16
Skull planter | Doll head planter | Marbled cement pot | Small oval planter
I love plants, but the keeping them alive part I haven't mastered yet. Besides that I wanna fill our apartment with pretty planters containing mostly succulents and cacti (as they tend to have less needs and that I can handle), maybe an orchid or two.
My favorite place to find planters are Etsy, my favorite for everything interior related, and these four are perfect. I especially like the creepy feel of the baby head planters, though they would scare the crap out of my boyfriend haha. Still going on my wishlist though!
You wanna fill your place with succulents too?

BERSHKA leather jacket | ASOS slip ons | CHEAP MONDAY jeans | ASOS T-shirt
Monday I was on photoshoot with my good friend and amazing photographer, Jacob (check out his facebook page here). It might have been the hottest thing I've ever done, running around in a thick Black leather jacket in 25 degrees, but I'm glad it doesn't show on the photos.
All in all, I'm quite happy with all of the photos, and I love that I finally got to show you an ootd. What do you think?
